WE'VE UPGRADED OUR SQUIRM SOCK BASE! - Undercover Otter

WE'VE UPGRADED OUR SQUIRM SOCK BASE!

Hey guys gals and non-binary pals!

We did some brainstorming with the lovely people that produce our yarn bases, to see how our favorite sock yarn could be improved. And the result is an even softer, springier yarn than ever! Squirm is custom spun for Undercover Otter and is not available elsewhere.

We've dyed up a (small) first batch of this delicious yarn base, and all the colorways we made are available online right now!

We also offer undyed skeins, which can be used as a neutral cream color to add to your projects. Or, if you've got an adventurous streak; dye your own skeins! Squirm takes acid dye very well and saturates easily, making it a perfect yarn for (beginning) dyers to experiment with.

Squirm is a high twist, 4-ply, fingering weight yarn, made with 80% Superwash Merino Wool (21.5 microns) and 20% Nylon. Each skein contains approximately 400 meters per 100 grams (that's 437 yards per 3.5 oz). The high twist gives the yarn a velvety look and feels next to skin soft.

Squirm is perfect for making socks, shawls, cowls and other garments that need a bit of extra cushion. It's also great for knitting or crocheting toys or any other projects that you want to be extra soft and squishy! It is not only soft but also very durable, making it perfect for garments that you want to have in your life for a long time.

We are delighted with this new and improved Squirm Sock base and hope you all will love it just as much.

Stay Awesome!
- Aiden

During a short transitional period, we will ship out both the previous base and the new one if you order ready-to-ship skeins of Squirm from the shop. Note that all skeins in a single colorway will be the same base. From now on, we will dye all dyed-to-order Squirm batches on the new and improved base.
