Thetis - Schlock Sock
Thetis is a figure from Greek mythology with varying mythological roles. She mainly appears as a sea nymph, a goddess of water, or one of the 50 Nereids, daughters of the ancient sea god Nereus.
We were inspired by the resist dye technique in which we knotted up the yarn before dyeing and applying different hues of a warm blue on areas of the yarn.
Schlock is a base we've recently added to the line-up. It gives a thicker impression than most fingering weight yarns and the 25% nylon makes this yarn perfect for socks.
The 75% extra fine merino makes Schlock next to skin soft and a perfect fit for garment and shawl knitting in which you want some durability.
