Starry Eyes - Squirm
What if you could bargain into becoming a famous Hollywood star? That's what the movie Starry Eyes is all about. A young girl wants to get on in the world and bargains with what seems to be the devil to get there. I captured the blue of Hollywood royalty, the green of envy and the dirty black rim that's around gaining fame in this speckled colorway.
This listing is for 1 skein of yarn. Photo of multiple skeins shows comparison between yarn bases and/or skeins.
Colors may slightly vary on every monitor due to settings. This means that the color may differ a little bit in real life from what you see on screen.
Squirm is our favorite yarn base when it comes to bouncy, soft, squishy yarn. The blend of 80% extra fine merino and 20% nylon makes it next to skin soft and sturdy enough to withstand a good amount of wear. Perfect for cozy warm garments, shawls and socks.
Especially with speckled colorways, and some variegated ones, Squirm tends to have an uneven covering of speckles when balled and going from the outside to the inside of the ball. This is a result of the yarn being spun high twist and it's impossible to reach all the way through the skein with powdered dyes because it is that thick. This may result in the first sock you knit (of a set) to have more speckles than the second one. In garments, it may give you a slight gradient effect.
If you do not want this effect, we advise you to select one of our other yarn bases.
